The TROPHY collection can be designed in 3 colors: white, nude, or black. After it’s printed in resin, our artisans will finish it off by hand with plaster. While retaining a high quality, this is the most accessible material in our collection.

Metal Plated
The DELUXE collection is printed in metal. After it’s printed, it will be hand finished and metal coated in copper or bronze, to give it that casted look and feel, without the price tag. This is our most popular option.

The ULTRA collection is the creme de la creme. We combine the modern 3D technology with the age-old technique of bronze casting. Each scan is printed and used as a mold and then hand poured in 100% bronze. After that, our artisan in Amsterdam will add the patina of choice.

Step 1
Book your appointment
Check our availability through our online booking form.
Pay $20 deposit to secure the booking which will be deducted from the total amount after you completed the appointment.
You can see us any time, but when you are pregnant we recommend that you schedule your appointment between the start of your growing baby belly till the end of your pregnancy.
If you find us last minute, please contact us directly and we can see if we can fit you in asap.
Step 2
During your appointment
At the appointment you will meet Sanne or Barbara and you will be able to see, feel, and hold our collection. We will also discuss any questions and concerns you may have.
We will work through a few poses at first and once you are comfortable and decided what pose works best for you, we’ll start the 3d photography session. While standing very still, we walk around you with a state of the art handheld scanner, this will only take a few minutes. This 3d scanner is similar to a normal photo camera and is not harmful to the baby or mom.
For the best results, it’s best to do a scan without wearing any underwear (it will only take 2 minutes) but if you feel more comfortable in underwear, we prefer a seamless thong.
Step 3
After your appointment
After the appointment, we will edit your digital scan and prepare it before it’s getting 3d printed or casted.
Once it’s printed or casted, our artisans in our atelier in Amsterdam will hand-finish your piece of art.
Your sculpture will be ready in approximately 14-16 weeks (for bronze casts, it might be longer ) and will be sent to your home.

Story
The 3D Bar was born and founded in 2019 by Barbara in Amsterdam and became a huge hit right when it launched.
Meanwhile Sanne was pregnant with her son in San Diego and discovered The 3d Bar online and knew that this concept was absolutely needed in the USA. At 28 weeks pregnant she flew to Amsterdam to capture her pregnancy with The 3d Bar, knowing this was her only chance in life to have this done.
Once Sanne received her own statue and delivered her baby, she contacted Barbara to become the US partner to make this concept available for all the American mommas out here. Because everyone deserves their own statue!

Frequently Asked Questions
When do I plan for the 3D photoshoot?
We work by appointment only, so It’s best to plan the photoshoot between the start of your growing baby belly till the end of your pregnancy.
How do I book a 3D photoshoot with you?
Please see our booking system on the website. If there are no spots available or you found us at the last minute, please contact us directly and we take a look to see if we can fit you in during our POP UP days.
What happens during the 3D photoshoot?
The appointment will take approximately one hour. During the appointment we we start with advising you on the different type of materials and sizes we offer and on finding a pose that works best for you to make sure your body is captured in the most beautiful way. The 3D scanning (photo shoot) itself takes approximately 2-3 minutes.
Do I have to pose naked?
To get the best results for your sculpture we prefer to have you pose naked, (it will only take 2-3 minutes) but if you feel more comfortable in underwear, we prefer a seamless thong and bra. We will always do our best to ensure you that you feel comfortable and in a safe space.
Do I need to bring something with me to the session?
Bringing a robe is handy and it’s best to take off your jewelry and tie your hair up.
Do I have to make a decision regarding the material and the size of the sculpture straight away?
During the appointment we start with advising you on the different type of materials and sizes we offer and on finding a pose that works best for you to make sure your body is captured in the most beautiful way. After the 3D scan is completed and at the end of the appointment we need to know what material and size you want.
Is 3D photography harmful to me or my baby?
Our 3D camera is not different from a normal photo camera and is not harmful to you or your baby.
When will my sculpture be finished?
You will receive your artwork approximately 14-16 weeks after the appointment. If you picked the 100% bronze option (ULTRA collection) it might take a bit longer as it depends on the waitlist of the foundry.
Do you deliver my sculpture?
Your sculpture will be beautifully packaged and delivered by mail to the address you provide us.
Can you photoshop my imperfections?
We can do a touch up here and there.
Do I have to shave my body hair before the session?
That’s completely up to you! Your body, your sculpture, your choice! Hair will likely not be picked up by the scanner. Tattoo’s won’t show either.
How do I pay for it?
A deposit of $20 to secure the 3D photoshoot is required at booking through our online booking system. This is fully deducted from the total after your appointment. We take any major credit/debit card or cash.
Can I bring someone along to the appointment?
Absolutely! Bring your partner, sister, mom, grandma or friend! But keep in mind that our scanning is done in a cozy space.
What is the location of the pop-up?
The pop-up takes place in San Diego. We will announce the beautiful location at the beginning of January. (have you made an appointment? You will receive all the details by email as soon as we announce them).
